D Type Layer Cage

Where D-type fits

Deeper floor. More floor area per bird than a standard H-type cage of the same width, without giving up vertical stacking.
Bird welfare. The extra depth gives hens more room to move, which some markets and certification schemes now expect.
Automatic manure handling. A belt under every tier, same as the H-type, keeping ammonia controlled and manure dry.
Density trade-off. Fewer birds per square metre than a standard H-type, more than an A-type.
